Making Over Cancer

This past weekend we were honored to be able to particpate in the making over cancer event. The event is in part sponsored by Survivor Glam Squad, a non profit organization aimed at making over cancer survivors across the country. Participating in the event (Held at my studio) was Leigh Whitehead of L'Unique Makeup Artistry, The LOOK salon, Fast lane Productions and myself. 

This past weekend we "Made-over" 8 Women Cancer Survivors ranging in survivorship from 12 years to 3 weeks. These AMAZING women suffered from all kinds of cancer, breast cancer, long cancer, stomach cancer etc. Each one has a unique story that we were honored to hear. These ladies came to the event to be "made pretty again". Steve Price of The LOOK salon and his team started the ladies off by giving them all fresh hair styles, in some cases colring or highlighting. Then the team of make-up artists got to work and finally I was able to photograph them. What an event... What an amazing group of people! We were truly honored with hosting and partisipating in this event. We look forward to next year!
