Should you choose indoors (In studio) or outside (On Location) for your upcoming photoshoot?

Indoor shooting vs. Outdoor shooting

I am a fan of both indoor shooting and outdoor shooting. Of course each one has its own challenges and rewards. If you have seen any of my work, then you probably noticed that I like to do a lot of photo shoots outdoors, or “on location.” One of the reasons I like outside more, is because I love the natural lighting. There is no studio set up that looks as good as the natural sunlight.  Also, the sky’s the limit when it comes to where the session can take place. The down side to location shooting is the weather. In Alabama especially, you never know what the weather may look like on the day of the shoot.

Indoor sessions tend to be a little easier to shoot. You can manipulate the lighting any way you like, plus, you never have to worry about the weather. There is nothing wrong with photographing indoors, they just seem to be a bit boring. Doing a photo shoot outside gives you so much room for creativity. Some photographers only do indoor sessions and some only do outdoor sessions; if you can master both of them, you will have a promising career in the photography industry!
