Posing Seminar
Last Wednesday night I hosted a posing seminar at my studio. It was a lot of fun! A big thanks to all that attended! I love getting to meet fellow photographers that share the same passion that I have for photography. Whether you have been doing photography for years, or you are just starting out, it’s always good to learn new and interesting information. I can’t count the number of time I see photographers making the simplest mistakes; anything from putting a woman in an unflattering position and making her look heavier than she really is, to posing a male and making him look feminine. I had four great models helping me out in showing all the dos and don’ts of posing. They gave some great insight on what they want from a photographer from some of their previous photo shoots. They explained how they really need direction and feedback from the photographer, they don’t want to have to ask him/her what they want them to do every few shots. All photographers make mistakes, I know I did when I first started. At every single photo shot, a photographer should know what shot they want, how to get it, and how to correct the mistakes. It’s these things that separate the good photographers from the great photographers.
This will definitely not be the last class I will teach. If you would like to participate in my next seminar, you can email me at (which ever email you choose to use) and I will give you all of the details. I hope I get to see a few faces at the next class!
